out with the beagles again today.where the feck are the foxes. hounds hunted hard for 4 hours pushing everything out of cover.a couple of rabbits in the bag,still dogs learn nowt in a kennel .

Good day out anyway there mate,tried 3-4 places ourselves today and no one at home ,did flush one out of cover but he got away from the terriers .Ended up with a mixi rabbit but had a grand mooch anyway.

good photos yet again fella..stick with it mate you,ll come across em sooner or later..seems their pairing up were i am ..getting them to ground had a couple braces last couple weeks..even the birds are courting i noticed today...give it few yrs and it,ll be breeding time all yr round ffs...atb..darrell.

Ferreting partner had back trouble this morning (couldnt get up off it ) so had a mooch with the Terriers as we have had a nice sprinkle of snow.

 

1st Earth well ran but not at home 2nd Earth ran to death and with numerous prints in and out of the Earth

 

Old Dog gave a solid mark so put B&F on him and away he goes. 10 minutes later a nice Big Dog Fox bolted, ran about 30 yards and stopped to look back at me, would of made a cracking photo against the snow as a back drop but i had forgot to take my cammera

 

Half hour later, still no sight or sound from the Old Dog got B&F out and located him at 0.9, left him another 10 minutes then dug to him.

 

He had a Dog and a Vixen in a stop end the Dog was tucked in behind the Vixen, they were up on a bit of a ledge and were striking down at the Old Dog so he took abit of punishment today but he's all tucked up in front of the radiator in the kitchen for a few days now.

nice pic's mate not doing to bad up this neck of the woods out with a few hounds today up on the moors flushed 6 shot 2. only blanked once this season but still not many to ground.

Its funny but i think foxes lay up on top more in the snow! Earths run to death with them all pulled out and yet chalie is sat in a little bramble bush next to it!! Snow does funny things to some aimals.........JD
