some nice dogs and good points, mine would have to be a saluki whippet gh,

but would this cross reatreve charlie? i know one that will have a nip and a twist but is more than likley not up to the job on its own, and most saluki xs will back out after feeling a pearly white or let off a mighty squiel :whistling:

well in answer to your question,

the saluki xs pre ban have never made good fox dogs so if you wanted a fox to be taken in yrs gone by well it was a big no no to this breed

for me the collie x is very hard to beat, they have the lot in there locker, nose, heart, speed, and stamina,I am talking of proper selected breeding, NOT, bred of a reject, from the track, and a collie, that has never seen or done work in its life, if you study, a proper working collie, he or she has the heart, for all, Stamina to work, on rough terrain, in all weathers, a nose second to none, and the willingness, to please, there master, there brain, is second to none in the canine world, (((( and you get fellows coming on here, talking about selective running, and choosing his moments, WHY, burn and waste energy, probably the dog has more brain than its handler, (( they want it to run around like a headless, chicken, and commit suicide, by crashing through, fences and hedges, a good dog to me is one who can fill the pot for you, a good watch dog, a friend, and the most loyal companion, you have ever had, ((( and I suppose, other people will say the same about there breed, one thing sure, I never bothered about the old red fox, you can not eat that fellow, what ever you have enjoy it because real, good dogs, are hard to come by,

yes you do get saluki x's that do fox, you won't get as many saluki x's doing fox than you you a terrier x but neverless saluki x's can and will take fox.

Well can honestly say that the ones that i have see work would kill fox in the matter of seconds,

There a lad on her Hunt4life that had a real good saluki/Gh/Whip that would kill them in seconds, and this wasnt a one a night thing he would do 3/4s no problem with out problem and iam sure theres a good few on here that see him work and would verifie what iam saying,

The same lad has got a sal/whip that would take them single handed aswell, maybe not finish them as quick as the one above but still very quick,

Then there a fella Jamie e on here how i do abit with on here that has one salukix, that would kill them on contact, And he was a very handy dog around the hole cause he would pull ''anything'' out, and i have seen this dog run and kill a good few fallow single handed,

So i think yes theres a good few saluki x that would of been good pre-ban on fox,

But then there will always be the ones that dont, (Same as in every cross)

I just anit in too the saluki crosses thats why i gave Jamie e that one that i had just dont suit me,

Like i sayed before thats why i keep Beddyxs...
