foxdigger13 114
personally i would get a springer or cocker spaniel but at the moment i have got a 9 month old border x patt wich is going to be an earth dog but he is the best bushing dog i have ever seen Quote Link to post
shannon1970 0
as above springer or cocker, but terriers work well, and that bit extra a beddy whippet for bolters Quote Link to post
watchman 256
would not know whats the best mate not really seen enough good bushing dogs to make that choice,i have a 3/4 cocker 1/4 russel, face any cover,if its in there she will find it,and workes tirelessly all day although she can be a bit head strong, definately getting better as she is now 2years old atb rob Quote Link to post

Bruen 3
ad say a plummer is the most over rated piece of s**t in the terrier world they are the worst dog ive come across !!! some type of spanial dog makes a good worker in cover Quote Link to post
bigkiel 7
i like my terriers for bushing but ive seen a few dogs like teckls and russlexbeagle and cockerxbeaglesthey will all bush but if its just rabbits your bushing i would go for a beddy Quote Link to post
Cleanspade 3,322
if your talking terriers the plummer by a country mile biggest load of bolaks iv seen so far, well done mate like i said if your talking terriers ive worked russells from more than one strain borders crossbreeds lakies for over thirty years above and below. and havnt seen a terrier that could tie my big plummer bitches lace on top. she is like a small hound. i got the plummers as a challange as i was fed up doing the same old same old. with the earth dogs. and wanted to see for myself what this breed had to offer. so from personal experience i can honestly say that after trying other breeds and plummers. i am able to compare what ive seen. and as far as top work is concerned from the dogs ive seen and used. the plummer terrier is better on top BY A COUNTRY MILE. NOW TELL ME WHY YOUR OPINION DIFFERS Quote Link to post
