BULLDOUG 199
It is my pet hate, really!! i iunderstand some people need a dog that does the job, but how many fuckinb chavs are shifting there dogs on at 9 months old because its not doing the job FFS. MY BULL GREY IS 2 ON XMASS EVE AND HES BEEN A DAMN GOOD PUP, BUT HE WOULD BE MY DOG FOR LIFE REGARDLESS, BUT IN SAYING THIS I DONT EXPECT HIM TO MATURE TILL HES 4 ONWARDS, SO GIVE THEM TIME MAN AND PUT THE TIME IN. mad al 146
right i have being coming on here a few year now and the amount of people who have got rid of dogs because they getting a new one is unreal my lurcher isnt the best but i keep her non the less a dog is for life man three of ours have "previous", thankfully they have come here to us and here they will stay. Two had absolutely no input before and have been hard work, but so what, they deserve everything we can give them. I think some folk, don't actually think of a dog as being a living, breathing friend for life, to them dogs are just another "must have", until they see or hear of one bigger/better,then they just have to get the dog and feck the other one. There have been too many on here of late looking to "swap" their dogs for some kit or W.H.Y. I'm sorry but these feckers need a slap, once you have a dog, the dog is yours, end of
Kay 3,709
I dont like to see what happens to dogs either, sadly its because we live in a '' chuck away society'' I appreciate that sometimes it just isnt going to work for whatever reason , but when you see dogs advertised on here & other places at 6 months old and there excuse is they havent the time to put in to the dog , that means they havent got the skills themselves to school the dog But they should ask themselves why in the space of 6 months have they got 4 dogs all under 12 months old , of all different breeding , when in reality they havent the work for the dogs and the experience to give each dog the schooling they need

comanche 2,937
Imagine going to see a pup that was clearly not as adverised, clearly cold ,underfed and very nervous. Imagine buying it anyway just to get the thing out of there . She'll will never be a top class lurcher and is certainly too gay looking to boost anyone's ego. She's got bandy back-legs ,bad teeth , a weird mentality and to be honest is'nt very bright . But she is mine and will stay that way ! As it happens ,four years on she's come out as a very good rabbiting dog . Dog -chopping has always gone on but It does seem that with this instant access/short attention span mentality that seems to be growing all the time people just don't seem to be able to cope with something that cannot be measured in hours days or mega-bites and that actually requires a some caring ,thoughtfull and time-consuming input. Imagine if it became possible to build and download the perfect lurcher from the internet. Each one customised to the individual DREAMS of the purchaser . I certainly would'nt do it, but I'm sure plenty of folk would . Imagine what would happen if a few months later a new programme -"Perfect Lurchers 2"- became available . Unwanted Cyber -Dogs tied to the fence of the nearest PDSA kennels , changing hands for a few quid or being swapped for ferret finders and playstations because ,,well,, dogs are not playstations.
