wee gemm hunter 8
look what i found quick release leads i just bought 2 for my two lurchers Wouldn't bother buying one, if you were to get a pull when you'r out, one of the things that they will nail you with is a slip lead, they'll say you'r using it for coursing. chartpolski 23,911
Useless !! Believe me; I bought the full length one at the last Waterloo Cup, and was given the short one; both useless. If the dog twists or the catch hits your leg or another dog or whatever it opens and the dog is off !! Also the spring weakens very quickly and it becomes a liability !! As others have said..... a collar and a piece of nylon, bailing twine, pull-thru cord, eyc, is far better and far cheaper !! Cheers. Quote Link to post
wuyang 513
I use to make one from thin bit of rope. Takes seconds to do. Quote Link to post

wee gemm hunter 8
Or you could train your dog to work Loose, off the lead. Good reply, I was begining to think it was just me that let their dogs hunt, every body seems to slip dogs here and their,WHY keep a lurcher if you'r not going to let it hunt, you'd be as well walking the parks with a greyhound. BULLDOUG 199
If you want another one just ask, ive got one in the dog cupboard, i put it in there 30 mins after buying it and curse every time i see it lol, there shite man, always slip when you dont want them to etc. I sew a piece of nylon with a wring at one end just enough to squeeze my hand through (tight so you dond drop it) then another at the other end just enough to put your finger through (helps keeping the dog under control) also allows you to give a little check now and again.
