salmon spawning

just wanted to share a wee story with you all

i went for a walk along my local river last night and took the lamp with me, really was only out looking for hare and deer in the fields to see what was about

i decided to go down to the river bank and a shone the lamp into the water and i saw over a dozen salmon obviously spawning, there was a few kelts going about too. i have walked this river hundreds of times during the day and never seen a salmon even though i knew they were there, has anyone else ever seen this? i thought it was an amazing sight to see and a good thing for the future of the river

nice to see the salmon spawning didnt get a chance to go yet but a few of us go every year just to see what the year's ahead hold, one of these night's now hopfully water low and clear.
