wuyang 513
Without my two jack russels my lurcher wouldn't get that many daytime runs and life wouldn't be half as much fun. The rabbits are nearly always pushed from the cover, usually brambles followed by the frantically yapping jack russells. I was just curious to what breeds of terriers anybody has used now or in the past and how you have found them at pushing out the rabbits. Has anyone particular breed or cross stood out? Has anbody used plummers, borders...etc Quote Link to post

Guest bluemink
most if not all terriers will do it. the advantage of the larger dogs like beagle x's spaniels etc is they won't bugger off to ground. Quote Link to post
Tyla 3,179
This is Ollie, a big mongrel terrier 16" tts. He was a rescue and has been a royal pain in the arse for nearly a year, painfully slow to start but seems to be finally getting there at last. Edited December 19, 2009 by Tyla Quote Link to post

martinabley 4
inspired by richard christians articles about his staffy bitch Nell, i got myself a staffy bitch two years ago, she bushes for the lurcher and ferrets. i sometimes lamp her with the lurcher and by herself on rabbits. she is just about three yards short of catching on the lamp but catches in rough daytime. she is not kc reg bought her from a woman on a local council estate, she is like and old fashioned picture of one.
