Guest Daks Posted January 5, 2010 Report Share Posted January 5, 2010 the cable aint snapped because the clutch is engaging the releasing but sometimes its sticking down are you sure its a cable and not hydraulic?? the above post is right your clutch will engage but when you lift your foot off will stay down if cable operated (on ford escorts there is a adjuster bolt where the pedal rubber meets the leg you adjustthisand it pulls the pedal up) so it iether needws aadjusting or your cables knackered. if hydraulic (uses brake fluid to operate) then id say your slave cylinder is buggered and you'l be needing a new one only trouble is they normally come as part of a clutch kit and as you have to take the gearbox out may as well do the clutch at the same time!! hth...daks Quote Link to post Share on other sites
