Dont think theres much of a conection between a dog overshooting is quarry and a dog being able to get its head down to connect, the dog in question is a saluki whippet also, not exactually a 30tts deerhound/grey. Salukis are the most agile of dogs, they can twist turn and spin like no other dog can, for this they can hold a hare or rabs for that matter, they overshoot lesss than others and loose less ground on stuff, they dont have trouble stiking either they just pick they time, some more than others. get a saluki or a saluki grey and spread its front legs apart ! they can do the f*****g splits mate, try and do the same with a grey or whippet grey or bullgrey, you would pull them out the socket to reach the point of the salukis flexability.
