sorry to hear that. very sad to lose a friend, even the small 4 legged ones leave a mark on our lives.

maybe you should ask the vet if he can give your other ferrets a disstemper jab.

Sorry your guy didn't make it, i would get your other 2 to the vets and get them vaccinated against distemper and scubbed every thing out and leave it to dry out before putting them back in.

Rescues and ferret keeping in your area is really worried after hearing about this.

Can you please let us know which vet diagnosed the distemper and what the blood test / post mortem showed please - that way rescues/keeping can get some advice and start vaccinating.

you need to disinfect everything asap..ferret cages,dog runs everything,get ferrets to vets too also other animals soon as ,cos chances are all animals will pick it up...DISTEMPER is a KILLER fact...hope alls well that ends well ..darrell.
