had a 24ft dig to my dads old bitch, took 3 of us to dig it in te day, it was on a steep bankin at preston, red sand which made it very easy to dig, had plenty 10 ta 12 ft , once dug a rock pile ther was 12 of us took 7 days to reach the dog which was lookin up a crack at the fox, if it wasent for one of the quarry workers who moved some big rocks outta the way we would never have got to the dog.

My mates a grave digger he has nice deep digs most days of the week ,FFS surely it more important to hear about dogs that have been to ground for long periods of time and when reached they were still working there quarry and that quarry was accounted for .Just because a dig is deep it doesnt mean that the dog been dug is any better than any other.JMHO

very easy but very dangerous to sometimes ,the sand can go that soft at times that the shovel will sink half way in by its self and is good for caving in at any time ,got to keep them nice an sqaure and your sides straight or you could be in big trouble  them banks have claimed a lot of good terriers over the years before the bellman came around .keep at em pal and might bump into you one day down there :)
