im going to add my opinion anyway up my hole or not tim like you not too fond of the horse brigade but this type of so call hunting is the same as hare coursing capture hare muzzel dog not many on here that wouldnt like to see waterloo foley cup etc back not a lurcherman but likes clonmel every year

Personally I have no time for what they do either.But live and let live.They do them selves no favours with their attitude to people and gallopping horses around schools as children come out.They brought a lot of it on themselves.

kev im not knocking the ward hunt one bit ,thats how they hunt pal ,its just not my cup of tea.Il support any form of hunting as i think we all should cause everytime some kind of hunting is banned the greens are one step closer for a total ban

leting the deers out of a box to hunt them.do they not do this because its the only way they where allowed to hunt the last few seasons.i dont think they always done this or did they.either way its a form of hunting in their eyes and if that goes.then it wont be long before it effects the rest of us somewhere down the line.

i am the first to admit that i dont know the whole story with the ward hunt, only the part that got (extensive) coverage in the cmw a couple of years ago. If i am wrong about any FACTS then please enlighten me . .but , i think for myself ,form my own opinions and support what i believe in , and oppose what i dont . . .this is how i see it : the ward hunt stags only to release them at the end. Assuming they are not a new hunt and have some history im guessing this has not always been the case , at some point they just hunted deer and dispatched them , why change , all i can think is either deer became scarce ,or they changed their practices to apease public opinion.. In my opinion if the deer are scarce you dont hunt them full stop , and if you adopt 'hunt and release' as a public relations move , well thats misguided at best . As for carting stags , all i can come up with is there are no deer on their hunting grounds , or they just want to ensure no blank days? So how do you hunt a deer with hounds and ensure it is fit for release , i have no idea. To sum up , unlike some of you , im not saying 'this is not my thing' im saying im completely opposed to it , what can possibly be said in defence of boxing up stags driving them to the hunting ground hunting them catching them and releasing them in the name of 'hunting' ?? I dont just blindly support every activity that comes under the banner of hunting , i deplore this sort of thing and on top of that , indefensible hunting activities do nothing for . . "the cause" if i was running the lacs the ward would be my poster boys and i would be on every public platform asking them to come forward and explain theirbehaviour. Thing is , i reckon most of you agree with me , so why do you say live and let live ?

Well i reckon im the unlike some of you and i also said live and let live.you say it should be stopped just because you dont agree with it.So should we stop fishing digging shooting just because different individuals dont like it.?I despise the crowd on horse back because for generations they persecuted and looked down their noses at my race of people but that was then this is now.If that is the way they get their kicks good for them.Mabye we should try and stop your kind of hunting because some people dont agree with it.Or mabye try and stop my kind of hunting because somebody does not agree with it.Or stop somebody hunting rats because does not agree with it.Where do we draw the line.Go back in your ivory tower and Live and let Live

it says in you profile you course deer hare and foxs all pre ban of course could you please tell us the big difference in huntin them with hounds or coursin them with lurchers unless your an anti cause you sure sound like one

liam , you ask where do we draw the line? When there is no respect for the prey . .to hunt a stag only to release it , doesnt sit well with me , and i fully admit it is beyond my comprehension why anyone would think this is acceptable, and carting stags to hunt is equally unpalatable, the ward should either hunt deer as any other pack of staghounds or they should drag hunt. Kev : i have hunted deer over a quarter of a century and whilst it is a more honourable method to hunt one on one with a lurcher than to hunt with a pack , i have no problem with genuine packs of staghounds whatsoever, i am entitled to my opinion as you are to yours , but i do not believe that everyone should be free to behave however they choose, idealisticly yes , but in reality you end up with people like the ward ,putting deer in horseboxes ,hunting them with hounds and letting them go . . .
