Le Chameau boots

Recommended Posts

I know what you mean, ive only worn my 4 times and they are creasing across the toes already.

I also dry them out properly and then wax them. A few people on here have moaned about them, perhaps

there not as good as we think they are. My Scarpa's are 14 yrs old and still going strong.

I only use mine for dog walking, clay and rough shooting, no digging or any hard work.

my le chameaus were by far the most comfortable pair of boots ive ever worn BUT . . . .they split in 6months ,on the instep where the boot creases across the toe ,got them replaced and GUESS WHAT. . .they split again. At £180 a throw thats 360 a year on boots , total crap. . .and i dont even dig that much , but i do a lot of miles with the dogs. Anyone who owns a dog , these are not the boots for you, you can not possibly keep a dog fit in winter weather without trashing these boots. I now buy boots in hiking shops ,anything about £60 to 80 , and if they last a year , so much the better. Le chameau are for weekenders

have to disagree mate, Ive had my mouflons for 3 years and still going strong, wear them all the time out walking with dogs, beating, ferreting etc, true have not done much digging in them but i cant fault them.

Reading posts on here it seems the problem is with the "mouflon plus" mine are the standard mouflons dont know if this makes a difference. You are right about them being comfy tho

I had the standard Mouflon, the leather split in less than a year, have Meindl now, much better.
