wheaton x pat

Hi there i have a straight wheaton terrier hes a very hard dog hes 3 and half years old and seen a lot of work i was thinking about lineing him to pat just wondering if any one has done this befor and [bANNED TEXT] they turned out like.

He wants em for hunting grizzly bears n maybe a bit of monkey lampin

landrover man.. ive seen dogs like this bred before, sire was Fell and dam was a wheaten both parents very good workers n pups all turned out good earthdogs and didnt at all turn out too big for earth work.. im not sayin that all litters of this X wont be big tho.. best of luck if u go ahead wit the mating

a few years back my mate bred a litter he did it other way round a pat dog on wheaton bitch he kept the whole litter of 4 they all were decent earth dogs a bit on the hard side though he got caught diggin an lost the lot he was wounded after rearing n running them all on they were a bit slow to get going the penny didnt drop till about 18 months old a couple were a bit longer but they were defo worth the wait though good look if you decide to do it mate and give them time you wont be disapointed atb biza

Thanks for your info lads. the reason i wont to do this cross is for the bigger earths beacuse some of them that we dig have very wide tubes and the baying dogs sometimes strugle to hold them i will try and get some pics up of the wheaton a bit later not to sure how to put them on at the minute. atb landrover man

reckon they would be interesting x to see mate,rather use wheaton than staff to x to patterdale i like those wheatons had a wheaton x greyhound and he was a good allrounder so reckon your pups would be usefull cross

how is a small patterdale bitch going to give birth to large wheaton cross pups ? should not the bitch be a wheaton and the sire a patt ?

i can tell ye lads hepher is not an anti.

i was out a while back with an old time terrier man who told me he crossed weathen with one of his fells years ago and they came good.

He may not be a anti but was asking some strange questions about the breed witch any hunter even part time should now

And as for puting the wheaton over a small bitch i think it should be ok because he is 15 maybe 16 tts an thanks again for your info atb landrover man
