Lennard 10
Dear all, At the drugstore I saw a human dewormer with active ingredient mebendazol for just 3,50 a dose. For my dogs dewormers I pay over twice as much...and I know that some dog dewormers also contain mebendazol...so I intend to buy them, crush them up and give the calculated amount to my dogs. Anyone using human dewormers for their dogs? L.
Rainmaker 7
Human wormers may well kill off any thread worm but I've yet to hear of a dog with those! Can't see it working on roundworm, hookworm, heartworm, tapeworm or any other worm native to your parts. Why is wormer so dear in your parts? Can you not get them cheaper online or via an independent vet pharmacy or something? Seeing as dog wormers only need to be given every three months at most (or just when you suspect worms maybe once a year or two!), 7 isn't much money at all. Providing you're talking about £ anyway. 3,50 'what'?
