flint67 2
swampy ,"civil disobedience is the only way to change anything" ? ? ? The hunting act is the topic of conversation and it was a change brought about by an act of parliament introduced by a DEMOCRATICLY ELECTED government. You can be certain that the only thing that will reverse that change will be an act of parliament. Civil disobedience will achieve nothing whether you are talking about protest marches ,car bombs or any other kind of civil disobedience it will most certainly achieve nothing. The thing is , we hear a lot about the hunting act taking away our freedom , but that very freedom is defined by us , we have a democraticly elected government , is there a better system? The people choose the government , the government sets the legislation . . .just because we happen to disagree with that legislation doesnt mean we have lost our freedom and to talk of civil disobedience is nonsense . Change the govt , change the hunting act , and we get our chance in may.

Change the govt , change the hunting act , and we get our chance in may. IF we lived in a democracy I would agree. We are led to believe that we do by the powers that be. However that is far from the truth. We are now governed by an un elected gov't in Brussels who are working to an agenda of dismantling our country, integrating all countries as one and have an unopposed regime that is designed for the benefit of the select few. I do not advocate acts of terrorism as the way forward but I do support the decision to disobey laws that are blatently ridiculous. This is not new. The french have been doing it for years. Just because it is law does not mean you have to obey it. The smoking ban has been ignored by the french for years. If we as a people decided to disobey a particular law "en masse" the gov't could do nothing about it. How do you stop 475,000 people marching through London? The police are going to arrest everyone? The police also have to make the decision to act upon legislation. For years they would not charge you for possessing canabis because it was not in the public interest. Peacefull civil disobedience shows contempt for the legislation and shows the gov't for what they are...fools. Until we as a nation realise that we are slowly being subjugated by a very sinister power then there is no hope of any change. The hunting act I'm afraid will not be repealed.....substituted possibly but never repealed. I for one shall continue to do what I believe is my right and that is to hunt. Must stop now as I'm getting cross and BP is in overdrive....where's that rum?!!!! rgds Swampy Illegalning Bilderberg founding member and, for 30 years, a steering committee member, Denis Healey has said:[25] “ To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair. Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn't go on forever fighting one another for nothing and killing people and rendering millions homeless. So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing. Edited December 16, 2009 by Swampy

Very wrong imo, This act of parliament was not a true reflection of the electorates feelings toward hunting, it was more to do with huge donations to the labour party, by certain animal welfare organisations. Democracy ?? where you been living ? Wish i had your faith in the system. atb Doss,

Remember this is the same group that abandoned their appeal against anti hunting legislation in Scotland!! I'd walk over hot coals in support of ordinary lads in a march to promote working dogs but I'd do b*gg*r all to promote the Countryside Alliance Tom Ps: I bet you they ain't interested as they don't want to rock the boat before an election?? mushroom 12,797
Kieran I think we spoke briefly yesterday. At the moment I would suggest that you consider putting your, and your friends, efforts behind the Vote OK operation which is supporting pro hunting candidates and MPs in marginal constituencies. What we need above all is a government which is committed to repealing the hunting act and a house of commons with a majority of support for repeal. Vote Oks website is here: http://www.vote-ok.co.uk/ Does come across a little condescending doesn't it????
Foxgun Tom 75
They're side tracking you? and want your support for their campaigns, rather than the other way about!!They also have a blinkered view about how politics work in other parts of the UK? The Tory's will never be a majority party here in Scotland and our anti hunting legislation is decided by a Scottish Parliement. I can't see The Countryside Alliance promoting the campaign below here in Scotland, Tom Again!! they want your suport to strengthen the MFHA's posistion but the will not help out at grass roots level (Feckin Tossers) Tom Kieran I think we spoke briefly yesterday.
