FightTheBan 1,147
''But! Surely a HUGE hare coursing event would make a few more arses twitch'' That sounds briliant. Why dont we just run the waterloo cup, there aint enough jail space in britain for that lot. Lol

FIGHTTHEBAN The problem is all we achieve with that is that we'll have a cracking day out and the next time it would be tried they would have an action plan in place and it would be carnage. Not the image we are trying to put across. Wouldn't it be better to have the cup legally when the ban is repealed? Edited December 14, 2009 by mushroom
FightTheBan 1,147
''Wouldn't it be better to have the cup legally when the ban is repealed?'' Aye your probably right mate. I also think what there saying is true though, you need to stage it in a place which would have maximum effect.

Neal 1,873
I can understand what some are saying about previous marches in London having no effect but I personally feel we should remember the positives eg it showed us in a good light for being so well behaved, orderly and law abiding. Count me in, and my toddler too. Would we be better off waiting until we know the date of the election?

Neal i think Mushroom is looking at supporter numbers first before a date is fixed, and the point you make about being a well behaved lawful protest in much larger numbers would put us in a better light, violent clashing would make things worse, Higgins. Foxgun Tom 75
First of all I attended all the march's and rallies in London, was at Parliement Square, Brighton and Inverness plus the March on the Mound in Edinburgh I also attended the last Waterloo Cup and the Declaration for Hunting day!!! I'm fully supportive of any action that will help and that includes taking part in action that draws attention to unjust laws in relation to any anti-hunting legislation The only negative's I can see at the moment? is lack of organisation and numbers. In the past we should have carried on the momentum and closed the streets and commerce down in London and other areas by marching during the week instead of week-ends There is also the situation of unruly behaviour and lawlesness at any demonstration? this is a situation that has to be avoided. We may have lost some aspects of hunting to the anti's but in the past pro-hunt supporters gained a reputation for organising some of the most peaceful civil demonstrations this country has ever seen! and thats a reputation I'm proud to be part of!! I'm not sure if another march would achieve anything but I'd love to!! and be most willing take my place again with the same friends as before! As Clarissa said in a personal dedication in a first edition of one of her books "]"See you at the barricade's, Tom"[/b] Tom Ps: I'd love to walk down the street in an English town again wearing my kilt and foxmask sporran and get another pull from a big copper telling me part of my national dress was offensive (Fox Sporran)and then nearly finding himself at the centre of a complaint for being offensive by his racially motivated comments? He was'nt really being racist he just overstepped the mark re: the sporran, the second cop to do so Edited December 14, 2009 by Foxgun Tom
