gonetoearth 5,144
Marches are no longer effective 1 million people marched in London against the Iraq war they were just ignored.I've been on every march from the one in Inverness to the ones in Edinburgh the protest in Glasgow which I helped to organise, all the London marches declaration day etc. They didn't work, pressure on Msp's/Mps at local level is much more effective they dont like speaking to people that know more about a subject than they do if you go to their surgery finnish off by giving them a question in writing that they are obliged to research to give you a reply. This will give you questions to ask they hate this as they have to research it at every turn. One person in area doing this is bad enough but if you get every dog lad in your area doing this he/she wont have time to claim their expenses

mushroom 12,797
This could take off mushroom your certainly taking steps in the right direction. Did you get onto BASC etc? What did they have to say for themselves? So far no-one has replied (BASC, CA etc) I'll give it till friday then I'm collaring them on the phone I'm also phoning the magazines up tomorrow to see if they'll give some sort of coverage to get the message out. People keep saying march on Downing St. I'm all for that, march up and hand in a hand written petition. Just not sure if that's allowed anymore? what with the terrorist threat we might end up getting a twitchy copper letting rip If anyone has any experience with this sort of thing or if anybody wishes to step up and help drop me a pm. poacher3161 1,766
IMHO i think a march will backfire as its been found in one of the polls that labour are narrowing the margin on the tories as its something the labour party will exsploit come election time

Civil disobedience is the only way to change anything. Otherwise your identity as an individual will be lost forever. ID Cards are the least of your worries.
