tomandroz 0
Hi, fair play to him, but in my mind there is one sports personality that has been over looked for far too long, and should have been on the short-list on many occasions.. A P McCoy arguably the greatest sportsman of our life-time, in his vintage year riding his 3000th winner, champion jockey for the 14th consecutive year and again overlooked by the judges for the 2009 shortlist Atb Tom
readie 184
excellent, and thoroughly deserved.
The Seeker 3,048
Good player but sports personality of the year in my opinion, that should have gone to Jenson Button at the start of the season he didn't even have a car and went on to win the world championship............ gnasher16 30,121
Im certainly no fan of man utd but always admired Giggs and glad to see his loyalty and talent rewarded. Very decent and humble fella the type of sportsman whos a rarity in these days of drama queen loudmouth stars... Has to go down as one of utd,s best ever players, certainly the most succesful trophy wise. He always gets a good reception when they come down to west ham even though he normally turns us over
dawnraider09 75
surely it should have been a life time achievment award because as the name of the award suggests its what he has done this year which when compared to the likes of david haye or jenson button is bugger all.its like the football writers player of the year award what he won for doing next to nothing that season.dont get me wrong a great player who has reached legendary status but surely there were sportspersons more deserving of this perticular award.
