I would recommend hevishot...try justcartridges.com or johnforsey.co.uk you can use lead in scotland if its not over a wetland....ie decoying into fields Quote Link to post Share on other sites

So It does matter where. I also use hevishot 1 1/2 oz # 2's bit much for a flight pond though? Quote Link to post Share on other sites

markyboy 0 Posted December 14, 2009 Report Share Posted December 14, 2009 32 g steel no4 for ducks over fed flight ponds will do you with 1/4 choke,for geese off the shore try remi nitro steel 1 9/16 oz or 1 3/8oz but these are loads for a 3.5" shotgun. ive yet to try the hevi shot but alot of people swear by it, so if its a one off trip why not just spend that little extra on the hevi shot for the geese. steel will be fine for the duck Quote Link to post Share on other sites
