as im new to deoying would like to know what kit people are taking out,(which is working) flocked decoys ,rotarys etc thanks boys

Get your self 10 or 12 flocked shell decoys or some sillosocks or fuds, they are easier to carry,i would go for a bouncer or two,to add some movement to your pattern,dont worry to much about a magnet i dont think they are that great, and its just something extra to carry anyway.

I use a magnet and has proven it's self to suck them in from 200 yds plus many a time.

Try getting a couple of battery powered pecking decoys to add a bit of movement and realism to the pattern. I have a rotary but to be honest I find that I get just as much success without it.

get yourself one of the stealth nets much better the normal camo nets and less to carry

Depends on time and place.

If I've all day I'll load truck up with every bit of kit.

If I'm only out for a little while or can't get truck up to hide I'll take only a dozen flocked shells. But I never go out without taking my floaters! They bring height and movement to my pattern and IMO are the best bit of kit especially if used with a flapper.

 

You could take a shop full of equipment and not have a good day. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION is the answer.

Also stick a crow in,And maybe a magpie left or right on a tree line

I always take a min of 15 flocked shells 2 floaters that i make ( see my signature) 1 lander and a magnet..

If there is no wind i use the magnet if there is a wind it stays in the motor and i just use the floaters they bring the birds in OK... :shout: :shout:

i use about 20 decoys, 2 floaters,stealth ghost net,2 hide poles,a good seat,face veil,lots of carts and a flask of coffee with lots of honey:thumbs:

 

don't forget a good dog( even a crap one will keep the feet warm though )

Consider a full body deek to put up a tree.

Small pocket size bino's are handy as well.
