dont rate hancock dogs dont like the breed think if your looking a lucher pup the parents must be working and not just for breeding and making making a few pound. some people rate them but they would not be the sort off dog l would take on but every one till there own

I had one 25 years ago. She turned into an above average general purpose lurcher for lamping and ferreting, worked as a Keepers dog and in the beating line and even won a few obedience tests but it was very hard work getting her there .

Since then I've owned dogs as good and better some of which have had very mongrelly backgrounds and all of which were easier to train but that could be because I'm older and ( maybe :hmm: a bit)wiser.

Where you buy a pup from is your decision and if it responds to the effort you put into it and you alone are happy with the results that is all that matters .

They are just average (below average in some cases) rabbiting dogs, nothing more nothing less.

they will be ok then all we are allowed to catch is rabbits :clapper: i have heard of a half cross border greyhound from hancock and it does all game and is hard as f**k there is plenty of litters throw shit pups it aint just hancocks i suppose most is down to the trainer :icon_eek:
