did they sound when they were hunting or were they mute?

they dont make a sound bud, theyre silent.great dog to hunt but you might have to watch em with small terriers in the cover, depends on the dog, some are quiet

this lad does make a bit of a noise in the stop we have a better one in kennels we have just lined a bitch with him both 100 percent workers tested to the full and silent ted will be around four now id say he was only a young dog when that photo was taken

This is my Wheaten x EBT before and after grooming. Only keep him as a pet, though he was bred for work. Excellent guard dog.

21 inches tts, and about 70lbs

He's at pet weight. He's walked about 9km every day. He's pretty fast for his size.

ok lads

just wondering are wheaten terriers any good for hunting cover, ditches etc?

thanks bill.

I've had a Wheaten and it was OK in cover but due to the type of fur of a true Wheaten they get bound up a bit with dead vegetation especially brambles. There are lots of much better cover dogs.

how old is he?

She is about 17-18 weeks now and coming on a treat.Eats more than the Lurcher stood next to her like but she worth it and the money i paid for her.Her temprement is fantastic and if dont make it as a working dog she make a fantastic pet but with decent breeding there should not be a problem. Thanks for your comment i appreciate it!

Hi there, I had a dog here that was bred out of a dog called "Wicker", I was looking after him for a mate from Essex. He turned out to be a demon, they also put him on a Greyhound and turned out some good dogs. Some boys came down fro the North East for a night's lamping and brought a first cross wheaten/greyhound, he was about 23". What a machine, say no more.
