poodle-ere 0 Posted December 12, 2009 Report Share Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) im only 14 and i have done clay pidgeon shooting with a friend's shotgun for a little while but it is a litle bit big for me and now im wondering what shotgun to get ,i know what ever shotgun i get has to be alltered but ive been using a 12g and that is what i prefer as i dont want a 4/10 or a 20g so has anyone got any advice for me on any shotgun i can get. FightTheBan 1,147 Posted December 12, 2009 Report Share Posted December 12, 2009 I reccomend you go to a GOOD reputable gundealer and try a load of shotguns. Not neccaserily shoot them, just mount them and see how they feel. Makes and names count for nothing if you dont like the feel of the gun or cant shoot with it. If your going to do alot of clays, get something with a bit of weight to it, helps soak up recoil etc. If youll be walking about with it all day, get a game gun, 26-28 inch barrels or something. At 14, youll probably want multichoke gun so you can use it for everything. Whatever you choose, make sure its the right one, because youll only kick yourself later when you have to sell it at a fraction of the price. Hope this helps. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Get a baikal, you cant go wrong! nowt wrong with baikals,thats all i used to use when doing the rounds but gone onto the berretta now and only because its handy to have the 3rd cartridge at times.
