jake824 517
Can anyone help me pick two pups out of a litter I have bred. This is the first litter of lurchers i have bred, so I am like a duck out of water. Also has any one out there got any pics of the finished article. Both parents are demons at hunting, I want them for general hunting basically, if anything gets up I want them to hunt it. Your input would be most appreciated, thanks. why is everyone knocking the lad asking a genuine question. right mate first pick the longest raciest pup in the litter and if its more up on the leg than the others then all the better. we bred a litter this way bred. putting a 24 inch half cross to a 18 inch pure bitch. the biggest pups made 23" and the smallest 21". 2 are being used as terriermans dogs and do it well. the bigger dog i ve seen run the light and he is quick for his cross.he catches various quarry with him and i ve seen it for myself. good luck with your choice. ps if they do make the grade and u run a bitch on and its done a few seasons graft then theres always the option of putting a good greyhound over her to get 5/8 x 3/8 Quote Link to post
killa-combo 142
to heavy for small stuff but awsome on lager quarry i would pay to see that white lab run bigger quarry. hard mans toys imo if you can get to the midlands you are more than welcome to watch the white lab work the quarry he was bred to work does it draw or run its quarry?
