whats the better

Recommended Posts

Im after a cheap semi, something I aint going to cry if it gets dirty/scratched, have of course been looking at a synthetic hatson escort, but now a YILDIZ has come into the question too, if Im honest I have no idea on the internal workings of these guns, so in your eyes, is one better, or are they roughly the same

i've never seen the yildiz so cant comment on that i know there .410 o/u are nice though, i have owned a hatsan escort and really regret letting it go as long as you use cartridges over 65mm long and 28g and over preferably 30g+ they are great guns and keep it clean just because its cheap doesn't mean it should be abused like some people do!

like i say i loved mine and am gutted i got rid of it, don't listen to gun snobs who say they are shit, if you look after it and can shoot with it you'll hit just as much as if it was a browning, berretta or benelli :gunsmilie:

have fun what ever you decide on mate

If you do a bit of research you will probablly find that they are both made in the same factory in Turkey. I have a webley 810f wildfowler and I believe at that time they came from Turkey, hence this explains why it is useless! lol!

Difficult this one, as some know I have had a near death experience with a Hatsan, allegedly they have got better, but if you get a used one it could be an early one which putting it kindly could be classed as dangerous!!!

So from my point of view anything but...

Does it have to be a semi, plenty of inexpensive guns about, even from Turkey which are quite reasonable..????

Dont waste your money on either mate, they are crap, either save up and buy the best IE benelli,or buy a second hand decent make, franchi are good a mate of mine got a synthetic one SH for 400quid,and its a really nice gun never jams,he bought it after being infuriated by a brand new hatstand he got kept jamming all the time, nasty cheap and horrible dont do it mate youl regret it i promise :wallbash: good luck

First up, does it have to be a semi? Pumps are cheaper, more versatile and more reliable. If it does have to be an SA, then I'd look for a secondhand beretta 303 or similar. My mate got one, multichoke in good order for about £350 and I reckon it will outlast any escort. Two of our beaters have escorts, one has had no trouble with his, the other bust the firing pin first time out. Seems most are OK, but if you get a friday afternoon special, you're in for trouble.
