whin 463 Posted December 12, 2009 Report Share Posted December 12, 2009 localy at this time of year rabbits get a bit wiser and well only way to get lots is to ferret them ,realy,but thats pestcontrol at its best , come spring when the first litters are born theyll be back , maybe not in the numbers in some places best places ive found for rabbs is along the railway net works etc alway rabbs in some bits , or along disused railway tracks always some sort of game for keen hunters , the thing is rabbiting is free and legal so youll get allsorts out to hunt them , Quote Link to post

The rabbbits make a hell of a mess in the structure of railway banking, leaving the aurthorites no options.... its the easiest and fastest way to spread mixi, on a railway line!!! it can travel hundreds of miles without any obstruction!!!! whin 463 Posted December 13, 2009 Report Share Posted December 13, 2009 been asked by farmers told them to bolt , as im not into watching ahumble rabbit die you can snare a fence line ,long net it, shoot it, lamp it ,got a mile and ahalf of railway and ive got the rabbits down to a managble amount , spreading the diseas is bad, better with wire netting and box traps as a last resort , if a farmer asked me to spread it i would say no way .and thats that and if he says youll lose your permision i would laugh and say do what you have to do ,il leave it at that as dont rate peole who spread needles diseas when there people willing to do it for money and sport and food Quote Link to post

The holes that we found looked like they hadnt been used for a while. Hopefully going to steve1s permission up carlisle next to bag a few Quote Link to post

Im going to have a look out on the lamp tonight on the footy fields near my house just to see if the rabbits are still around on there Quote Link to post
