luke. 9
Hello all, I decided to get up nice and early and head ot for a couple of hours with the wheirauch. When i got out there all was well and i managed 2 pigeons in the same tree about 10 mins between each 1 at about 35-40 yds, then headed off down the road about a 1/2 mile. Soon as i arrived i saw a bunnie squating about 100 yds down the track so i made my way towards it on the other side of the hedge and got within about 40 yds of it before he started to get a bit shifty, so i took aim and smack, straight in the head, but off he went away across the field for about 50-60 yds and then droped dead. This has never happened to me before with a head shot, but a suppose there always a first. Any way after this there was nothing at all about for a good 2 1/2 - 3 hours so i decided to head back to the car, but on the way back i noticed a group of ring necks in a group of trees not far from were i was but when i got there i spooked them . I decide to hang around for a little while and sure enough it paid of after about 15 mins. Two ring necks landed in 1 of the trees about 30 yds away and i took aim and droped one with a chest shot which died instantly but unfortunatly the other flew off but i wasnt queit out of luck just yet. I saw a big cock pheasant and a few females bobbing about at the end of the field and was adamant that one was coming home with me, i sneaked up on them and got with in about 60 yds but noticed they were heading in my direction. So this 1 was all about patience, within about 20 mins they were only about 20 yds from me so i took aim through the hedge and down a female went with a beautiful headshot and i no it was only 20 yds but i have never had a pheasant with the air rifle before . So after a few hours of total boredom i was over the moon with the out come, thanks for reading all, cheers. Luke. SORRY NO PICTURES A WILL GET SOME NEXT TIME . Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Nowt wrong with a Pheasant with an air rifle, as long as you have the permission to do so The term Ringnecks has me a little worried though. I am hoping you mean Collard Dove and not the Parakeets? If its the Ring Neck Parakeet, you aint allowed to shoot em till they go on the General Licence in January 2010! If you mean the Dove's then SaaaahhhhWEEEEEEET Phantom Quote Link to post
