So went out sunday morning to feed my ferrets and when i was walking down the garden i saw the door was open and no lock on so i looked in the shed and low and behold no ferret so i started to panic checked all there beds none there so i went back out the shed and two popped out from under neith the shed to i grabbed them quick and put them back in the shed and carried on looking for my other two hobs couldn't find them by this time i was really pissed off so i rang all the apropriate people so after all that was done i went around to some of the local knob heads to see if they had heard out or done it no nothing so left it till late on so my girlfriend said why dont you go to the auctions and see if there is any ferrets in because i didn't think i would get them back someone had robbed them and thats it so i went to the auctions and there is a few ferrets in so i see this hob in a bucket curled up under some strap he looks alright so i bid and got him for 3 quid so am happy got him home as soon as i got him out of the bucket my heart sank i have never felt a ferrets so skinny in my life and so weak i could feel every bone in his body and his claws were that long they curled right round so i gave him some chicken and ferret discuits he wolfed them down but i did't want to give him to much just in case it made him i'll so i kept him in side last night and took him to my vets this morning for check up and he was fine so when i got back for the vets i put him in with my 2 remaning hods and they have got on fine but i no who the fella is who put the ferrets up for sale is and there is some people paying him a visit a carn't believe anyone could do that to a ferret any way thanks for reading it and i'll try and get some pics of my hod up . The one 8,496
Aye its a shame how some animals get treated dumped in a hutch and forgotten about it sounds like Quote Link to post
max abell 196
The people that treat animals like this are normaly a bit touched in the head becase there is nothing up top to tell them any different so they think its ok to be like this to animals You have got to ask yourself why is this auction allowing these ars**oles to sell ferrets in this kind of condition ? the manager of this auction needs approaching and asking why this is being allowed to happen but i suppose one good thing came out of it people like you bought this hob and saved it from the ars**ole that kept it in this condition in the 1st place Good on yer mate for taking care of the hob let us know how he gets on Quote Link to post
Jamie93 57
Disgraceful mate. Hope he gets on well. Happy Hunting Jamie93 Quote Link to post
ryan123 0
Both my ferrets are from clitheroe auction and "bought out of buckets" and funily enough both were skinny as a rake with long nails. makes me sick how anyone can keep an animal in that condition. Quote Link to post

Kay 3,709
I thought these auctions were regulated & anything for sale had to be in good health , nice that you took the poor thing & i hope you manage to get him right Quote Link to post

In the past i have bought 3 ferrets from clitheroe auction! Thank god i now breed my own... 1 gave me 4 stitches!! The other ones where just shit. I do feel sorry for animals left in poor conditions, and i think that a pic of them gets to even the hardest of people but what do you mean, "someone is going round to pay them a visit"................isnt that just being like the person that let it get in that state.... Do you know some anti's or something, or are they just chav,s? Surely a hunter wouldnt risk the rest of his animals being tuned in for the sake of a ferret which you payed 3quid for....because revenge is sweet..... and even more revenge is even sweeter....
