kev2560 7 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Share Posted December 10, 2009 not posted for a while been busy . been out with the male a fair bit he has had aload of rabbit 2 wood pigeon , mice , a levrette (baby hare)he is doin well took a rabbit yesterday at 1.10 3/4 these pics are from the other week out ferreting . Must be a big male to take on that size of quarry, they weigh about 6 pound, only ever heard of the females taking hare & they get given a hard time. ATB Quote Link to post

ATB it wasnt a full grown hare a baby hare the weather has been so mild this winter i thought it was one but got it double checked by my mentor he said it was aswell. he fly,s at 1.10 an has real big feet on him we have his sister aswell which flys at 2.6 hows your season coming along ? cheers kevperry Quote Link to post

Beastmaster1980 40 Posted December 14, 2009 Report Share Posted December 14, 2009 I take it they are sonoran HH's flying at them sort of weights, flying my brothers sonoran female this season, only took her out the moult this weekend & jessed her up so its fitness & weight for the next two weeks. She flys about 2.6 muscled up. Hoping to get her on a hare this season as shes not had one yet Quote Link to post

Hoping to get her on a hare this season as shes not had one yet yeah there both sonoran mate he,s a top rabbit bird i dont see to many hares so i didnt want a female no need for a big female because my male will do the same but gunna put her down to moult a little late so can have a bash at them march hares .got a famle goss aswell so take the goss an the female harris out for a go should be fun you had much with her yet ? Just a quick question, and I dont want to seem condescending, but why two bells beastmaster? Cracking looking female by the way. My male is 18 weeks old and flying full length of creance at 1lb 8oz. Am planning his first free flight today and to enter next weekend. Only took 8 days to get him going from the aviary. Best wishes and keep the kills coming. Dave Quote Link to post
