Pigeon Controller 1
I have a rabbit proof fence(not) along a railway on a ten acre on my permission. early this year I put ten wire single catch rabbit traps out on the holes in the fence. They worked I caught rabbits, partridge, pheasant and hedgehogs. I am thinking to instal some drop boxes what else may I catch Mink,Hedghogs, fox cubs? or will the trap door support lighter vermin and only catch rabbits? Pigeon Controller Quote Link to post

Teesdale-rabbiter 15
I think it would depend on the size of the tunnel and trap door I have had a ferret in one of mine before but not a mink have heard of hedge hogs & mink, polecats in em Quote Link to post
heritage 202
no one can really give you the answers your looking for, the whole thing comes down to the dropbox design and manufacture. if its a home made job you intend to use you would be able to counterbalance the drop plate to a weight thats more suited to a specific target species but if its a commercially produced box then there generally set fine. If i remember right ,the leader drop boxes produced by lauderdale engineering have a trip weight of approx 8oz. Quote Link to post
