It's simple....get everyone one you know to get off their arse and stop watching X-factor or what ever and get out and vote. Change is possible but we are ultimately to blame if we get the same old crap every time. i agree with you nik b,but is it possible?Everyone i know is either busy on facebook or watching Xfactor,or too busy earning money to pay for the national debt,the only solution seems to be campaigns on Facebook or any of the other social networks,that would be a good starting point,but i could see them getting wise to this and shutting down communication, Higgins. The largesse indulged in by the government and a large number of the public over the last 6-7 years has to be paid for! The piper must be paid, the only doubt I have is how. By massively cutting spending and increasing taxes, or by continuing with the monetary policies that created this mess and attempting to keep up the illusion via higher taxes and the creation of more unbacked, electronic funny money to pay for it all. The consequences of both will be painful for the vast majority except for the big business and political elite. Whoever wins the next election has some massive decisions to make and the current Labour spending / investments public services print money, party for the working man, tax rises for "the rich". Versus the Tory cuts, pay the debt down, party of the rich, crap on the working man rubbish is merely a smokescreen and convenient distraction from the real issues. Every penny the political elite borrow and spend has to be repaid WITH COMPOUND INTEREST out of our future wages / taxes by me and thee, no matter how politicians of various parties try and dress it up and sugar coat the $hit sandwich. TOPPER 1,809 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Share Posted December 10, 2009 (edited) the biggest problem is people have very short memories, FACT every labour goverment has left this country BANKRUPT then then next lot [ tories] sort it out but have to cut things to the bone to do it, when maggie was in everybody was either on strike or whinging about her but she was the best thing that could of happened to this country although a lot of miners won t say that , she stood up to europe and the master state idea, she was the last PM to do that! whats needed now is a strong pm to say bollocks to you you lot [imigrants] if your no use to us your not coming in full stop deport all imigrant who are claiming benifits, stop all money going out on so called aid etc stop bailing europe out and look after ourselves for a change , maggie done alot of unpopular thing s but most of these were forced on her by the labour cock up before hand , if it wasnt for maggie most of us wouldn t own our homes , the poll tax was a good idea and i think very fair the problem arose by giving it to the local councils to administer and they went out of there way to fck it up if it had been controlled by central goverment i don t think we would have this rip off council tax system we have now i feel sorry for the next goverment as they have a hell of a task that will proberbly take 20+ years to sort out but 10 years down the line people will have forgot about this mess and it will all go around again ps we are a third world country , nigeria - tanzania - zimbarbwa or any of those so called third world countrys don t have a debt like ours fair enough we have a far better standard of living but in less they strart pulling oil out of the falkland a bit quick we wont have it for long!!
