Desert Fox 0
hi, im looking to buy a new pcp rifle(.177), it'll be my first so i want to make it special lol. i've been checking here and the net for reviews of various rifles, taking into account accuracy, cost and peoples ratings, ive ended up with the ultra and scorpion. apart from the price, cocking mechanism and lack of a stock moderator (which i'll most likely be replacing) i cant seem to find any difference between the 2 and was wondering if anyone could comment on the accuracy and cocking mechanism. as it stands im in favour for the scorpion a) the moderator isn't a selling point to me. i think i'll have more fun with a bolt action c) ive read bad reviews about the mmc being loud and unreliable tbh i'll be happy with the most accurate rifle, im not bothered about the amount of shots as i'll have a regulator fitted if necessary it might be worth mentioning that i'll be using this rifle for hunting out in all weather - minus torrential rain thanks Quote Link to post
LOGUNSOLO177 0
Cant comment on those rifles mate! But I wouldnt overlook the air arms S200 its a great rifle I used to have one. Very light, robust and accurate a perfect hunting tool. I only sold it because I dont hunt that offten anymore and wanted a bigger shot count for target shooting. Quote Link to post
wuzzy 0
get a ultra mate you wont regret it i,ve seen how devastating they are in the field Quote Link to post
Desert Fox 0
ta logun, tbh i have been looking at the s200's the only reason i didnt mention is the price, but i have found one for 355 which just a little more than the cheapest scorpion ive been able to find. and i have to admit, i do like the idea of multiple bottles. i'll keep it in mind still if anyone knows which out of the 3 guns is the most accurate at range ( +40yards) please let me know. thanks Quote Link to post
wuzzy 0
S200 without a doubt at long range i had a mk3 in .177 and stupidly sold it a while back it was good to take rabbits at 50+yrd,s off the bipod Quote Link to post
LOGUNSOLO177 0
I agree with that my s200 was super accurate but most air rifles these days are about the same if you find the right pellets to use!! Quote Link to post
Desert Fox 0
well, the people have spoken. s200 it is!!!! but i have to ask, do you know if john bowkett would (or could u suggest someone that would) blueprint this rifle? thanks for all your help!! Quote Link to post
wuzzy 0
ahh no not really as a blueprint is building it to "his blueprints" he designed most of the bsa range and therefore can blueprint them but you can get the S200 reg,d so you get around 100 shots per fill Quote Link to post
hughes_jh 0
Get an Ultra Multishot, its an awesome rifle. Small, light, accurate and very pointable. You pick it up thinking its too compact but when you shoulder it everything falls into place. Pigeon headshots at 35 yards are easy. You can pick them up for bargain prices too. Quote Link to post
