Redleg22 2
In today's Shooting Times, David Tomlinson again draws attention to the fact that working tests tend to have moved farther and farther away from catering for "normal" working gundogs and have become more geared towards handlers that specialise in competition work. While this may be true of working tests organised by gundog clubs, it is worth mentioning that, up and down the country, there are a lot of working tests organised by wildfowling clubs - and these tend to be very firmly designed for genuine working dogs of any breed (or none). In the case of my own wildfowling club - the East of Scotland club - gundog owners who are not wildfowlers can join as Supporter Members and, as such, can enter all our gundog events as well as fishing outings, clay shooting, conservation activities, etc. More details here: Click on Link Quote Link to post
