jamie g 17
me and my friend michael met up around 9 last night. the ground was soaking wet but some of the paths round the shoot we go on are ok to drive on as there concrete. see some rabbits about and shot a couple with hmr to leave for fox. didnt want to shoot to many because when the ground is dry we will mop them up with the 22lr as we sell them. anyway we see some some eyes over the far field had a call. and of course with hmr you have to make sure fox is in range. the bugger wouldnt come in he looked like he was mouching about the far side of the field. just as micheal turned the lamp 60 yards to the left was a big fox. i got on the caller and lifted rifle to shoulder. he was abit scared and made across the field. from left to right. i got on call again and he stopped 60 yards out. faced me i had a split second shot and down he went not a kick. went over and got him and he was the biggest dog fox i have shot here is a picture we see 4 more foxes but couldnt get a shot. they where to far or not in the right place to shoot. back with the 22/250 soon they liked the fox caller uk call.
