Lure machine (where to buy or how to make)

I am looking to either buy or make a lure machine can anybody here point me in the right direction - thanks.

go down the scrappy get an old pre engaged starter motor cut the end off it with a grinder clamp it into a frame thread the end of the shaft get an old wire spool attach to the threaded end of the shaft .wire it up to the battery

via a toggle on off switch that's you sorted will cost you about £20/30 and an hour of your time:thumbs: or contact mark at parkstone whippets he was selling them a while back atb chester

no probs think if you gona buy one its about £120 forgot to add if you are making one yer self add a bearing housing into the spool or you will pull the dugs teeth out if you aint carfull

hello again, ive emailed http://www.parkstonewhippets.co.uk/ and he guided me to rod as in a previous post. I contacted rod for prices and its £170 for machine the £18 per roller and £25 carriage. total for me £249. I was hoping to spend less than this has anyone else got any more ideas?

they aint half shot up in price sold mine to a young lad off here mine for 30 quid hope you get sorted

try and make your own it aint that hard to do tbh.

yea i looked at that but i would need dummy proof instructions as im an idiot when trying to make things. It would probably end up killing me or somebody if i made it without dummy instructions lol.

paid 30 quid for mine over 20 yrs ago and still running strong its used at most of the welsh shows to do racing and courcing throu out the summer i know the bloke that made mine was making them to sell a few yrs back but no idea if he still does il ask for you and let u know i think their about 60 quid with him now

£60's not a lot of money for a full set up!

 

We've just made one and even including the fact that we got the starter, box section, drum, wooden spacer made, cable and fixings for nowt and I already have a spare battery sat about. It's still cost us £35 just to get hold of 200m of line and a solenoid to switch the power...

 

I've also spent an extra tenner on two bicycle wheel hubs to make a primary turning point/spool loading pulley and will need another two if they work well to turn the line along the course
