coming eventally is no good when cousing quarry, it needs to be drilled into them from a early age, so it second nature so they dont blink or hestitate one bit, theyve got to jump on the run imo or they aint worth taking out in the day.

Lamping is different aslong as u dont have to pic the dog over fences at night thats fine, but for daywalking theres nothing worse than a dog that dont jump and go through stuff.

i put a fence up now in the run, inbetween the kennel and its food n drink, so its constantly jumping, i hire the fence as the pup grows. so when it starts in the feild it can already jump.

Simple to Train a Dog to Jump.Put a Small Hurdle in the Gateway of the Run and the Dog will get Used to Jumping over it.Raise the Barrier when the Dog is Clearing it with ease.Mine Jump on Command.A dog that Doesn't Jump wont Catch As much Quarry as a Dog that does in My opinion.

The fence/jump in the run is very popular with loads of folk but have never felt the need to actually "teach" a dog to jump as they can all do it just that some are lazy and others very willing and quick to learn.

Out with someone once whose dog couldn't jump   bit of a shock to the owner when it cleared a fence running along with mine ;)

spot on ,i use to put little fences up but now just let them get through over them selfs ,starting with taking pups on walks where theres loads of things to get through /over on every walk .
