There are two different types of mange, sarcoptic and dermatex you can get rid of sarcoptic pretty easily but dermatex is harder to get rid of and sometimes stays with a dog forever you need to identify what the dog has got with a skin scrape the vet can do this. Your dog has possible mange ...whats the first thing you do ...obviously go on an internet forum and ask how to cure it ..duhhh my brain hurts coz i ain't very bright and can lift 'eavy things ....i can think of about 10 things to do before i come on here and ask Quote Link to post Share on other sites
TOPPER 1,809 Posted December 8, 2009 Report Share Posted December 8, 2009 ivermectin is probly the best but i wouldnt recomend it for dogs with collie blood as sometimes it will kill them but not always !! a good dowse in sheep dip or benzo benzoate will do the trick if its scartopic mange if its dermodectic mange thats a nerve related thing and can be treated with antibiotics , Quote Link to post Share on other sites
