dodger 2,765
Best way to get the ball rolling is for as many as possible to get on to the countryside alliance after all as said we pay them membership but what are they doing with it, they then should use some of the funds to get the message across to all feildsports enthusiasts, via cmw edrd the field mag, internet bla bla, dod lads racin lads, horses fishin lads n lasses the shootin lot as there sport will be next to go, then go from there etc. Quote Link to post

sidney567 0
I've certainly added a complaint, a show which is clearly informed/misinformed by a bunch of biased, misrepresented idividuals. It also clearly showed how out of touch the police are when it comes to such matters, 'race nights at pubs'. How can these officers be asked to enforce the law when they have such favour and affection for one side and a reluctance to take a suitable stance. Quote Link to post
sidney567 0
CounrtyHog if you intend to slag people off on here for poor spelling, then I suggest you get yours right...............caught or court...........................idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your a prick, united we stand and divided we fall. You've got permission at the minute, what happens when this media rubbish gets all dog work banned. Will you simply retire your faithfull hound/s. The lads may have been in the wrong, but I know who I support when it comes down to it. No sitting on the fence. We need to show a united front, if we segregate different parts of dog work then we hand the anti's what they want, the cracks in our armour. If it were legal, the lads in the programme may have been able to pay to go coursing and put money into the economy, is it their fault that they have to search the country for dog work. I must say I dont go anywhere without permission. But it seems to be you who is missing the bigger picture. Think before you write. Quote Link to post
flint67 2
i wish you all the best lads , it will take a massive effort of coordination to organise something like this. Problem is ,anything less than hundreds of thousands of people just wont do. If you march in support of fieldsports and only get 5or 6 thousand it will just underline what a minority we are. I think the countryside alliance are the only organisation who can pull this off on the scale that it needs to be to get the correct media coverage. Im not sure now is the time . .when we marched before , we hoped to influence parliament in order to prevent the act being passed into law. The political position at the moment is labour will never repeal the act conservatives will. As polls show 75% of people support the ban , prob best to let cameron campaign on an economic agenda and get hunting in under the radar. Having said that , if theres another march on the cards , i will be there !! Quote Link to post

What acts of parliament have been passed based on protest marches?? I could be wrong but i thought protest marches had a 100% failure rate as regards affecting legislation . . .the nf and anl , cnd , the miners , stop the war , countryside alliance . . I suppose the poll tax was eventually overturn , but was that the result of the march / riot . . Quote Link to post

donk 12
It dosent matter what works or what dosent work, well it does, but you know what i mean? This is another call to arms. We cant remain silent if we want any sort of chance of keeping whats left of our heritage. We have to keep reminding politicians and the public that were not happy about this shit. Yeah there will be certain people who wont attend, they will make lame excuses, but I for one wont lie on my death bed and have regrets about not doing enough. Come on lads and lasses, lets do something Even if we dont get heard,or hit the papers at least we will walk proud knowing that we tried. We can sit the grandbairns on our knees and tell them about 'the old days' and tell them with pride how we marched to save one of britains oldest traditions. Win or lose, we got to try. littletimmy 71
Too true donk. A main leader is needed who can then deligate what needs to be done to the area leaders and so on. Organisation is key lots of good ideas have been thrown about now it just needs to start being put into practice. Any lads from the northwest should contact Mushroom as he looks to be our leader Quote Link to post
