sambam 8
nice1 lads keep em comming, i know theres a few different veiws that the lads have posted on here and i agree with all, its the wankers who dump game rip up feilds and intimadate landowners who are making it worse for us all. BUT thats a small minoraty which will and has always gone on unfortunatly, i may be wrong but in my opinion the hunting ban may have played a part in this for a number of reasons. i have seen a rise in the number of CHAVS getting lurchers mabey because of the coverage in the media and they fancy a go at it mabey because its illeagl. that may sound daft but chavs like that pride thereselfs on anything that they can do whats against the law and how many ASBOS they can get ect, theyll soon get bored and move on to the next thing hopfully. Wxm 1,638
my reply I am deeply outraged with the comments from the BBC regarding the hunting community with Sunday's countryfile. I believe that most of your information was from a text book due to the fact that "slip leads" are only used on hare coursing. I am 22 and have been hunting with lurchers for the last 8 - 10 years only on rabbits and have used slip leads as its for convenience not for any other reason. I feel that strongly about john cravens incorrect statements and lack knowledge regarding the hunting community I believe he should make a public apology on next Sundays broadcasting, apologising for tarring us all with the same brush. i would also like to ask if badgers are so rare and protected, why the rspca filmed the dig, surely this is allowing a known illegal activity to take place when they could of stopped it in the first place.??? would the bloke filming this "illegal" activity not be giving some sort of punishment for letting it take place and not stopping it as soon as he seen what they were doing.??? i would like to say again that john craven should make a public apology on next Sundays broadcasting, apologising for tarring us all with the same brush. sambam 8
some good emails that have been sent lads keep it up, some have said that they will fall on deaf ears and be swept under the carpet ect, but so be it its better than not doin anything at all. in my email i said somthing along the line of.. it is irrisponceble of the bbc to show one side of illeagl dogwork without showing the leagl free pest control service that genuine dog men do for landowners and farmers. so hopfully we might see a bit of genuine lurcherwork on the show someday but im not holding my breath Quote Link to post
shepp 2,285
Here is mine I watched your programe on sunday and as i was expecting the show was bias and inaccurate. If you are going to make a programe about as you call wildlife crime, i think badger digging and hare coursing should not be put under the same banner. Another thing is you should make the veiwer fully aware that hunting with dogs if completely legal, with permission, for rabbits, rats and to a limited degree flushing foxes. I think you will be pleased to hear you are wrongly altering peoples perception of people like me who go out and control vermin such as rabbits which damage the crops that feed our cities. I can imagine your urban left wing Guardianista production team have an agender as is usually the case with BBC productions, but it is not fair and accurate. I think you need to be aware you are not above reproach and many people are questioning the payment of a licence fee to your politically bias corporation. Another thing, what a joke it was unleashing the damp squib John Craven on the guys rabbiting. If he was going to tackle people on the subject of hunting with dogs, then at least arm him with the facts, he even managed to make himself look like a right prat against a guy of limited vocabulary. I think you need to get some real countrymen on your production team because all you are now left with is a programe that caters for your Islington chums and there twice yearly trip to the countryside for a couple of hours walking Quote Link to post

twoface14 1
Here is mine the show was bias and inaccurate. If you are going to make a programe about as you call wildlife crime, i think badger digging and hare coursing should not be put under the same banner. They said baiting which is completely different than digging, even a lot hunting people have now been that brain washed that they don't know the difference between the two. besides that a good letter Quote Link to post
