SHOTGUNSNIPER 47
I need a .22-250 to address a fairly heavy fox problem before lambing starts in the spring . I have thought of buying new but cash is a bit tight at the moment so any tips on what to look for would be great. I have heard that .22-250 barrels are easy shoy out is this true and how can it be spoted., Thanks in advance. The most common mistake made with any rifle is shooting it too many times in succession, heating the barrel up and this speeds up the wear. . . A hot barrel has a diffrant zero (point of aim) than a cold barrel I never shoot a good varmint rifle more than 3 shots and allow it to cool before shooting it again.. I have several long range guns and all are sighted in on a cold bore. I have shot thousands of prairie dogs (big gophers) and would allways carry two or three rifles to the field this allows for more shooting and less waiting. As for predators, one or two shots is all it takes and then it is usually a wait before another show's up.Sight in with a cold clean bore is the ticket.. SGS :headshot:: Quote Link to post
