stoaty1 35
Nice looking pup. I was wondering the same as the original post as I have a 10 month old bitch pup as well. Found all the replies interesting. Judging from the replies so far giving her one or two runs is possible - let the fun begin. regards Ian Quote Link to post

golly 0
I think it depends on the dog as well. My bitch is 9 months and has taken to lamping far better than ferreting or mooching. She finds ferreting boring and starts to whine, play etc. But she is very focused when out lamping though and -while she still lacks a bit of top end speed- does well on the two or three slips I give her per session. ATB. I've a longdog that whines on day work too but is fine at night. atb gol Quote Link to post
ferreter.al 22
ur pup looks a little belter mate and like the others have said.next september will be her time and it will fly by.my mate had it all last year with a whippet pup not wanting to wait.he did thow and its not a bad little pup now.he also had (untill the other day) a colliex that hunted up and he couldnt stop it and it would ruin a good nights lamping tearing around fields with its nose to the ground after it had missed the rabbit it was slipped on.not a nice feeling when the lads you are out with are looking at you as to say..."get your f*cking dog under control or all the rabbits will be in" so if you are wanting to use it for lamping you woant go far wrong with loads of play and basic training and no rabbits atvb for the coming season.alex by the bay the colliex was given away as a pet becuase he couldnt stop it hunting.lol just incase you was wondering.
