MEIKLE 0
Was out last night for the first time this season with some success had about a dozen Wigeon decoy's and 8 or so Teal decoy's out just in front of my favorite reed bank. I then tucked myself into to the reeds standing in about 3foot of water and waited for the flight to begin while I was waiting there was plenty packs of wigeon flighting around whistling among there self’s none taking any interest in the decoys but as the light started to fade in dropped a mallard which was taken at about 25/30 yards out and retrieved. I then had a quiet spell for about 15 mins till 2 teal suddenly dropped in out of nowhere and missed the first and hit the second as it rocketed for the sky after that managed to get another teal that flighted in to the deeks. After that I thought it was time to pack up and just after getting the deeks packed up a lone wigeon came over and was duely dropped which was a good end to the flight. Happy hunting throughout the season Meikle. Quote Link to post

DO YOU EVER GET UP TO FINDHORN BAY CAN BE GOOD FOR GEESE AT TIMES Alright chief I was up there last year at the tail end of the season for a morning flight we arrived up there at 4am expecting to have some time to suss out where we were going and what would be a good spot but when we pulled into to carpark opposite the foundation and there was already 6 motors down and 1 guy just walking out onto the shore. We then rushed down onto the shore to find a spot and there was guys spread right along the edge the 3 of us never shot anything but it was good just to see the numbers of geese coming off the bay there must of been 10s of thousands of them. My fowling partner and I are heading up there next week for a couple of days so heres hopeing. Do you shoot up there mate? Quote Link to post
Guest Bodach
Findhorn is a real wildfowlers bay, enough space for everyone, if only some guys would obey the unwritten law in wildfowling, never walk out in frony of anyone who is already tucked in! Afraid I gave up shooting the bay a long time ago due to this, now only shoot smaller bays around the coast, still a magnificate spectical as the birds lift off the bay. YIS Bodach Quote Link to post
tom1cameron 1
V-Max, careful with admittance of a 6-shot auto on waterfowl, that aint legal unless you have a restrictor tube insert to limit you to two shells in the magazine Quote Link to post
