country file

In my opinion Countryfile last night was one sided if they had there way they guy's would have been hung! and what a waste of police time and not just a couple of local police wonder how many serious crimes were going on when that was being filmed, the only good thing was the weather forecast.

i think shooter2000 has made a valid point , i dont think he is saying all lurchermen are the same, nor is he saying all travellers are the same. It is a point that comes up time and time again on this site , there are cowboys out there with no respect for the land ,who destroy property and couldnt care less. Many are on here , regularly defending their behaviour , . . . .my hunting life , i have never in 27years met a farmer who was a lover of hares deer foxes or badgers . . .i have never ever been approached by a farmer landowner keeper or copper when ive been hunting . . .the hunting act has had no effect on my life whatsoever . . .but the hit and run cowboys who bring it on top EVERYWHERE they go , , who cause landowners to shoot every hare they ever see just to keep these thugs away , these hit and run cowboys have had a worse effect on the hunting world than all the antis put together , and they continue to do so. Countryfile was a joke though!!

Just a thought guys.....could we have this debate on the BBC site, might help get the "point" across. Might also be worth advocating that we don't agree with tresspass and advising that a ferret finder has absolutley F**K all to do with anything illegal ?

Might be an idea to moderate the language and get a spellchecker before you do that.

Up to now, the general impression given by this debate is that hunters are psychotic remedials. ;)

good to see you sticking up for fellow hunters droid , oh i forgot you dont hunt so you can go nuts with your anti remarks :clapper:

Get real.

Just how do you think some of the posts on here would go down with a neutral/unbiased readership?

Do you think they make hunters look like reasonable people who can conduct a sensible argument?

If you think I'm an anti just because I don't hunt, then that says more about your intellect than it says about mine.

If you don't mind me asking Droid, Why do you frequent a hunting site so often if you don't hunt yourself?

I'm not taking the piss, it's just a genuine question.

And will be answered as such. :D

Because I'm interested in hunting, and knew a few on here before I joined.

I come from a country area, grew up there, and it's interesting to read people's experience of country sports and contrast it with my own experiences. I also spent 3 years at Agricultural College, mixing with people who did plenty.

Trouble is, being interested in hunting is unlikely to translate into doing any. Work and fishing take up too much of my time.

working takes up everyones time , you have been a member for 2 years and your still just 'intrested' in hunting.

i hope one day you make the leap and get out and do a bit instead of pulling people up when in reality you know f**k all (even after a 1000 posts)
