ian118118 10 Posted December 6, 2009 Report Share Posted December 6, 2009 hi people i just have a few questions or some smart person to answer regarding the cal's .177 and .22 so i can decide which will be best for my next air rifle. 1)which cal would have the flattest trajectory at say 972 fps?? 2)which pellet would lose its power slowest?? 3)can they kill the same things easily (rabbits,pidgeons,squirrelss ect) and your opinions on which cal you prefure? A.T.B ian 1) A .22 running at that speed you would need an FAC (Fire Arms Certificate) as with an 16 grain pellet this would produce over 35 and a half ft/lbs wich is 23.5 ft/lbs over the legal limit 2) Power or Velocity ? 3) If you can accurately hit the brain, then yes. 4) It all comes down to personal preferance Both my hunters are .22 but I have also shot .177 and I also have a .177 rifle and all my pistols are in .177 Phantom Edited December 7, 2009 by Phantom Quote Link to post
