posting money

if u post money and it doesnt get recieved by the person who you sent it to is there any thing that can be done about it. i ordered some dvds off 2 different people on hear i have recieved both sets of dvds but i sent the money on wednesday with a first class stamp 1 of the people emailed me today saying he hasnt recieved the money i sent a 20 pound note to this person and now i am regreting even sending it as either iam goin to have to send the dvds back to him or send another 20 so its either costing me 20 pound for nothing or 40 pound for 7 dvds. is there any thing i can do or not

When posting cash mate it's best to send it signed for. it costs an extra 75p but it's well worth it. When i post out photo's i always send them signed for that way the customers can't say they havn't recieved them if they actually have as delivery is recorded by the post office.

The sad thing is if it was between seller/buyer, then it would be down to trust amongst us members and the reputation earned etc

 

Unfortunately, post has added another unknown sometimes untrustworthy figure to the equation :whistling:

 

If you don't get a signature thou friend you're up shit creek without a paddle :drink:

iam not saying i want compo just wondering if i could ring royal mail or somthing like that

You sent cash in the post and he hasn't recieved it....yet you have the dvd's??????? LOL i didn't think anyone could be that daft these days :doh:

 

Next time go to the post office and get a crossed postal order, this can only be cashed at a post office by the person named on it so i'm sure they will have an ability to check it.
