snoopdog 1,256
i think people use the word stamina wrongly .or maybe not ..theres a big difference between be able to recover quickly from one short run after another ,,that is mostly down to fittness ,,,,for an egxample lets say 30 bunnies .could these dogs with stamina in them run three 4 min hares,,,???... then theres is STAMINA ....be able to run hard for over 3 min,s . maybe its two different sorts of stamina .... ....for e.g somthing with a 1/4 of saluki in it just isnt enough to cut it on the the big land ..if you no what i mean.... .... jimg 17
This is my 3/4 1/4 whippet bull. Game as anything plenty of drive just run him on rabbits. Three years old now his catch rate has been alot better this year using his brain and speed not like the first year just trying to run rabbits as fast as he could. Good recovery in between runs only a matter seconds in between runs. I think snoopdog has a good point horses for courses! Quote Link to post

Born Hunter 17,813
I tend to use the words endurance and stamina, lamping dogs should have endurance, coursing dogs should have stamina, thats all a bit 'black n white' but you get the jist. Quote Link to post
