Little Butch 16
Winter's coming up so a 4x4 seems a good option, I want one that I can hose down and It looks good enough to take Into Town but also a capable offroader I'm only 17 so I thought those cute little Suzuki's might be fairly Insurance friendly? I'd like to use It off road every now and then and eventually lift It up and throw on some nice Chunky Tyres. What's out there? Butch
willum 89
keep your eye out for an sj or old vitara smal engine cheap to fix and can do quite a few mods to them for next nothing an old sj will almost out do 90 defenders anytime when jacked with off road mud tyres light nible and good off road same as vitara. but if you got the money recomend fourtrack reliable work horse better and more reliable than landrovergood luck willum. ps try ebay and autotrader plus put add on here
Little Butch 16
Like the look of the SJ soft tops, do they only come In 1 litres though? Butch

Little Butch 16
Been looking at the Vitara's as you can get a 1.6 which whould be enough for me, cheap to Insure but hopefully enough poke? It won't be kept standard anyway. Butch
irishnut 297
the vitara is the way to go mate, great fun to drive, cheap to run and insure, and when you drive it into town on saturday evening the tractor club don't run out to welcome you. jimny is good too, but vitara is sweet, im land rover true and true, but for a 17 year old to get insurance on a landy you'd be getting a series, slow as growing grass, and hardly a pulling car, good luck with whatever you get, happy hunting and off roading
Little Butch 16
I reckon I'll end up getting a 1.6 Vitara Cheers, Butch

samearl14 11
Mates got a vitara and it cost him a bomb to insure. Soft tops always are expensive because theyre so eay to nick. Its not too bad offroad but you dont want to take it through deep water! ATB Sam
