Yes you can still ferret in the rain mate but it isn't going to be much fun for you standing there waiting whilst your ferret is dry underground doing the biz. In answer to the second part, I take it since you're new to ferreting and only have 10 nets so far you wont have a locator yet, my advice is to get one mate. If your ferret backs one up in a stopend you wont have any way of finding it and it could be down there a very long time. When me and wor kid are out and the ferret has been down about 5-10 mins and there are no signs of noise/movement we locate where they are just in case it's an early lieup or just for piece of mind. The one 8,463 Posted December 4, 2009 Report Share Posted December 4, 2009 If i plan a days ferreting i go whatevere the weather ,If my ferrets been down 20/30 mins and not showed i get the locator box out to see if there still moving or on a rabbit check 5 minutes later then if there in the same spot in with the spade Quote Link to post
