good shot mate, what rounds do you use in the .204. I was hunting a month or so ago with Night vision off the boards, he shoots a .204 but a totally different picture after a 130m head shoot. I hit a fox and the only sign of damage was some blood from the mouth, other foxes he hit showed the smallest of entry wounds. Your rounds do look to be doing the business without doubt ( unless it was lifted off the side of the road) :D only joking.

Hey Keith, well i home load and am using Sierra BlitzKing 39grns and 27grn of H322.

I must say that when i was using the factory Hornady 32 & 40s the damage was very different if i had hit a fox in the chest then there wouldnt of been much damage at all, but scince the reloading i have impoved the accuracy & damage caused sooo much. The load im using at the moment seems to do alot more damage .TBH i wish i started home loading sooner.

Cheers

nice shooting mate. whats .204 like as a fox rifle my certificate through with .22 centrefire and am just getting some input on some different calibers id pretty much settled on a .223 but im hearing more about the .204, cheers mate

hey, im a very big fan of the .204. You will have to start reloading to get the best out of it. Its becoming alot more popular round now, if its a 1 in 12 twist you will need a 26" barrel, also you would be best having a Varmint heavy barrel. I shoot mostly from a Truck or Quad so the weight for me is not an issue, if you are walking about with it just get a decent sling.

Horses for courses and all that, but i love the .204 as a all round very flat flying Vermin/varmint calibre. Get a decent mod and its pretty quiet too

Cheers

I'm inexperienced with these CF's, but they don't f**k about do they? :clapper:

I had my first kill with one a few nights back out with Sporting Shooter & his .222! Only a bunny, he's doing too good a job on Charlie there! :D
